Manoj Kumar Dubey has been named Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (IRFC). Currently, Dubey is the Director (Finance) at Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) and is a 1993-batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer.

Dubey’s appointment received unanimous approval from the Search Cum Selection Committee (SCSC) during their meeting on Tuesday. For the past two years, Shelly Verma, Director (Finance) at IRFC, has served as interim CMD, with the position being filled on an ad-hoc basis. Dubey’s appointment is now pending final approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Once approved, Dubey is expected to bring his extensive financial expertise to advance IRFC’s strategic initiatives.

Founded in 1986, IRFC is the dedicated funding arm of Indian Railways, responsible for raising funds from both domestic and international markets to meet the substantial financial needs of the railway sector. The corporation operates as a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
