MetLife Inc has announced that Shurawl Sibblies will become the new Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective August 1. She will report to Michel Khalaf, MetLife’s President and CEO, according to the company’s statement.

Sibblies joins MetLife from American Express, where she served as Executive Vice President and Colleague Strategic Partner, focusing on talent, organizational, and leadership development strategies. Her previous roles include positions at TIAA, Citigroup, and Hewlett-Packard.

Michel Khalaf, MetLife’s President and CEO, expressed his confidence in Sibblies, stating, “Shurawl will build on our progress to foster a purpose-driven, inclusive culture that attracts, develops, engages, and retains world-class talent.
