MetLife Appoints Shurawl Sibblies as New Chief Human Resources Officer

MetLife Inc has announced that Shurawl Sibblies will become the new Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective August 1. She will report to Michel Khalaf, MetLife’s President and CEO, according to the company’s statement.

Sibblies joins MetLife from American Express, where she served as Executive Vice President and Colleague Strategic Partner, focusing on talent, organizational, and leadership development strategies. Her previous roles include positions at TIAA, Citigroup, and Hewlett-Packard.

Michel Khalaf, MetLife’s President and CEO, expressed his confidence in Sibblies, stating, “Shurawl will build on our progress to foster a purpose-driven, inclusive culture that attracts, develops, engages, and retains world-class talent. With her exceptional track record of developing high-performing teams globally, Shurawl is well positioned to continue to empower our people for the future and make a difference in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.”
