Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation Backs Innovation with Support for 40+ Startups
Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), the philanthropic arm of Honeywell India, reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing local innovation through strategic collaborations. Partnering with the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID), the incubation arm of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, the non-profit has extended financial and research assistance to over 40 Indian startups and nine entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIR).
In FY23-24, HHSIF supported 13 initiatives, including eight startups and five EIR programs, focusing on sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and renewable energy. Medtech startups accounted for half of these ventures, while agritech made up 20%. For FY24-25, the foundation has committed to backing seven startups and one EIR in related fields.
Beyond financial aid, HHSIF provides its partners with access to research support, cutting-edge technology, human resources, and a global network of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), angel investors, venture capitalists (VCs), and MSMEs.
Among the startups supported under the program is Translead MedTech, founded by Manoj Kumar R. The company focuses on improving the lives of elderly individuals, with innovations like a specially designed chair that aids those with critical joint issues, ensuring smoother transitions between sitting and standing.
