BharatPe and Nasscom Foundation Collaborate to Empower 1,500 Women Entrepreneurs in Maharashtra

In a joint initiative, BharatPe and Nasscom Foundation are working to support 1,500 women entrepreneurs in Maharashtra, helping them formalize their businesses. The program is focused on equipping rural women in districts like Ahmednagar, Beed, and Latur with the tools to register their businesses and access digital marketplaces.
As part of the initiative, these women received assistance in obtaining crucial business licenses, such as FSSAI and Udyam registration, to help integrate them into the formal economy. Additionally, 250 women were linked to online platforms like MSME Global Mart and ONDC to expand their business reach.
Local resource persons were trained to provide guidance and ongoing support for the entrepreneurs. This project, under BharatPe’s CSR program ‘BharatPe Cares,’ aims to foster financial inclusion for women in rural areas.
BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi highlighted the program’s goal of empowering rural women to grow their businesses, while Nasscom Foundation’s Rostow Ravanan stressed the significance of promoting economic independence for women in rural communities.
