Yotta Data Services Partners with Telangana Government to Launch AI Supercomputer & Data Center in Hyderabad’s AI City
Yotta Data Services has announced a landmark partnership with the Government of Telangana to establish a state-of-the-art AI supercomputer within a high-performance, liquid-cooled data center campus at Hyderabad’s AI City. The agreement was formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Telangana’s Special Chief Secretary for IT, Electronics & Communications, Jayesh Ranjan, and Yotta’s Co-founder and CEO, Sunil Gupta, in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the Telangana Global AI Summit.
In its first phase, the AI supercomputer will feature 4,000 GPUs, with Yotta’s first data center, Yotta H1, set to be operational within 24 months. Once completed, the facility will house 25,000 GPUs and a 50 MW AI Cloud Data Center, solidifying Hyderabad’s role as a global AI hub. The campus will not only support AI innovation in Telangana but also serve as a major center for exporting India’s AI capabilities worldwide.
The facility will offer specialized GPU cloud infrastructure and a suite of AI services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), aimed at startups, research labs, educational institutions, enterprises, and government bodies. It will feature NVIDIA GPUs and high-speed networking, with the capacity to scale up over time.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy hailed the initiative as a transformative step for Telangana, positioning Hyderabad as a leading AI destination. Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu emphasized the partnership’s significance in making Telangana a global AI leader, while Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan highlighted the state’s commitment to leveraging AI for growth and opportunity.
Yotta’s Sunil Gupta expressed confidence that the partnership would accelerate AI development across India, reinforcing Hyderabad’s position as a global AI hub. The data center will prioritize sustainability, using green energy sources and eco-friendly technologies, with a goal of achieving IGBC Platinum certification.
