Acer Launches New Additions to Vero Line with Eco-friendly LED Projectors
Acer has introduced two new projectors to its eco-friendly Vero product line: the Acer Vero PD2528ic and the Acer Vero PD2328. Designed to provide both businesses and consumers with high-performance, energy-efficient technology, these projectors are ideal for those seeking to reduce their environmental impact.
The Acer PD2 Series projectors feature the latest Gen 4 LED light source, which improves brightness by up to 18.5% compared to the previous generation. This results in high light output of up to 3,700 ANSI lumens, making these projectors suitable for home theaters or meeting rooms.
These projectors deliver exceptional color quality with 120% coverage of the REC 709 color space, providing 1.5 times wider coverage than traditional lamp-based projectors. The 0.65-inch DMD chip also enables high dynamic contrast ratios of 50,000:1, ensuring vibrant visuals and sharp image quality, even in low-light scenes.
The Acer Vero PD2328 offers WXGA (1280×800) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 3,700 lumens of brightness. Meanwhile, the Acer Vero PD2528ic features FHD (1920×1080) resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and 3,200 ANSI lumens. Both models include Acer LumiSense technology for enhanced visibility in dark environments and color-boosting technologies like ColorPurity+, ColorBoostLED, and ColorSafe II, which provide natural and vivid colors. Additionally, Acer’s BluelightShield reduces potential eye strain from blue light exposure.
Acer’s EcoProjection technology helps reduce power consumption and maintenance costs. The projectors automatically switch to Eco mode and dim the light source to 60% when no input signal is detected, and they shut down after a period of inactivity. Lamp and mercury-free, these projectors offer a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours and improve energy efficiency by up to 42% compared to traditional lamp-based models. They also use 50% PCR plastic in the chassis and 100% recyclable packaging.
The PD2 Series Vero projectors are compact and lightweight, weighing just 2.6 kg and measuring 11.8 inches in width, making them easy to install in any setting or mount on docking stations.
The Vero PD2528ic model comes with built-in wireless projection and screen mirroring capabilities, allowing users to mirror screens from smartphones or PCs seamlessly with the included Acer wireless dongle.
Both projectors are highly durable and can operate continuously for up to 24 hours, making them suitable for public displays or museum exhibitions. They also feature a built-in 10 W speaker, eliminating the need for external audio devices, and support HDMI 3D for more immersive movie and gaming experiences.
Installation is simplified with Auto Keystone Correction to automatically adjust vertical distortions and an Auto Ceiling Mount gravity sensor that detects the projector’s mounted position and rotates the image by 180° for correct orientation.
Compared to traditional lamp-based projectors, the Acer Vero LED projectors have a lower total cost of ownership. Being lamp-free, they eliminate the need for frequent lamp replacements. Additionally, the sealed engine design protects the internal components from dust, reducing the need for cleaning and repair.
The Acer Vero PD2528ic will be available in EMEA in December, starting at EUR 799, and the Acer Vero PD2328 will be available in January 2025, starting at EUR 599.
