Suman Billa (IAS) has assumed the role of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, succeeding Rakesh Kumar Verma (IAS), who has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. This appointment continues the temporary upgradation of the Joint Secretary level position held by Verma.

Billa, a member of the 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS), hails from the Kerala cadre.
