Anil Malik Appointed Secretary of Ministry of Women and Child Development

New Delh: In a significant development, Anil Malik IAS (Haryana 1991) is set to assume the role of Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, effective 29th February 2024. Currently serving as Officer on Special Duty in the same ministry, Malik brings a wealth of experience to this crucial position.

Prior to this appointment, Malik held key positions including Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the Housing Department, Govt. of Haryana, and Additional Secretary & Joint Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs, New Delhi.

On the academic front, Malik boasts an impressive background, having earned a B.A. in English Literature from MD University Rohtak University-Main Campus, where he secured a Gold Medal. He furthered his education with an M.A. in English from KURUKSHETRA UNIVERSITY and attained a Master in International Development from the prestigious University of Durham.

With this new responsibility, Anil Malik is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping policies and initiatives for the welfare of women and children in the country. The transition is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategic insights to the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
