Veera Rana IAS appointed as new Chief Secretary, Madhya Pradesh government

New Delhi: In a recent development, Veera Rana, an IAS officer from the 1988 Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. Rana, who currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Secondary Education and Commissioner of Agriculture Production, will also take on the additional role of Chairperson of the MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE).

This appointment follows her interim role as acting chief secretary following the retirement of Iqbal S Bains. Notably, Rana has a distinguished career, having previously held positions such as Collector in Vidisha, Jabalpur, and Mahasamund districts, showcasing her extensive experience in various key departments. 

The decision was announced by the state’s General Administration Department on Wednesday, and Rana will continue in her new role until further directives.
