AICTE and CGPDTM Join Hands to Promote Intellectual Property Rights Awareness
New Delhi: In a significant step towards fostering intellectual property awareness in educational institutions nationwide, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.
The MoU exchange took place at the AICTE headquarters, where AICTE Member Secretary Prof. Rajive Kumar and Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks Prof. Unnat P Pandit formalized the agreement. The primary objective of the MoU is to raise awareness among students and faculty of higher education institutions about the importance of intellectual property filing, as well as the mechanisms and methodologies involved in the filing process in India.
The signing ceremony was attended by AICTE Chairman Prof. Sitharam T.G and Vice Chairman Dr. Abhay Jere, emphasizing the commitment of both organizations to promote a culture of intellectual property rights in educational institutes across the country.
