New Delhi: In a significant development, the Government of Assam has implemented a comprehensive restructuring of key administrative roles by transferring 14 IAS officers to enhance public service and administrative efficiency across various departments.
Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, IAS (RR-1990), who currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam overseeing the Environment & Forest, Soil Conservation Departments, Director General of Assam Administrative Staff College, and Chairman of the Assam Administrative Tribunal (Addl. charge), has now been designated as Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam for the same departments. He will also continue to hold his responsibilities as Director General of Assam Administrative Staff College and Chairman of the Assam Administrative Tribunal.
Additionally, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, IAS, is appointed as the Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi, as an additional charge.
Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, IAS (RR-1992), previously handling Agriculture, Transformation & Development Departments and serving as Agriculture Production Commissioner, Assam, Chairman of the State Level Recruitment Commission for class-III, and Chairman of ARIAS Society (Addl. charge), has been designated as Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam for Agriculture, Transformation & Development Departments.
The reshuffle also includes the transfer and posting of Dr. Ravi Kota, IAS (RR-1993), who will now serve as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam for Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department, with an additional charge of the Finance Department. Additionally few more IAS officers have been appointed new roles
