TVS Motor Company has inaugurated its Global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Design and Engineering in Bologna, Italy, following the acquisition of 100% ownership of Engines Engineering S.p.A. for €5.05 million. This strategic move underscores TVS Motor’s commitment to advancing its capabilities in premium and future-ready mobility solutions across international markets.

Engines Engineering, renowned for its expertise in advanced prototyping, high-performance motorcycles, and deep experience in MotoGP racing, will now integrate with TVS Motor’s global R&D resources. The CoE aims to serve as a concept-to-product innovation hub, combining the creativity and racing expertise of Engines Engineering with TVS Motor’s engineering and design strengths. This integration is expected to accelerate product development cycles, enhance design differentiation, and strengthen technological leadership across TVS Motor’s mobility platforms.

The establishment of the CoE also aligns with TVS Motor’s vision to support its UK-based brand, Norton Motorcycles, in developing modern luxury motorcycles with advanced performance and design. By leveraging the capabilities of the CoE, Norton Motorcycles aims to craft exceptional high-performance motorcycles that honor its iconic legacy while elevating its future ambitions.

Key focus areas for the CoE include design leadership, digital simulation, rapid prototyping, modular platform development, AI-driven design tools, and advanced materials. These initiatives are anticipated to reduce product development cycles, improve design flexibility, and expand TVS Motor’s portfolio of premium motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicles.
