ICICI Bank has announced the appointment of Soumendra Mattagajasingh as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 1. This decision, approved by the Board, places Mattagajasingh among the senior management personnel of the bank. He succeeds T K Srirang, who has transitioned to the role of Joint Managing Director at ICICI Securities.

With over 27 years of professional experience, including more than 21 years at ICICI Bank, Mattagajasingh brings extensive expertise to his new role. He joined the bank in September 2002 and has been serving as the Head of Business HR and Employee Relations. His background in human resources covers various areas such as business HR, employee relations, leadership development, training, and policy formulation.

Before his tenure at ICICI Bank, Mattagajasingh worked at HPCL and NMDC. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Berhampur University
