Major bureaucratic shuffle in Gujarat Administration, 50 IAS Officers transferred
New Delhi: In a significant administrative shake-up ahead of the impending Lok Sabha elections, the Gujarat government has reorganized its bureaucracy, affecting 50 IAS officers, including Collectors and District Development Officers (DDOs). The State General Administration Department issued an official order on January 30 to implement these changes.
Key appointments include H. K. Vadhvaniya, IAS formerly the Collector of Gir-Somnath, who now assumes the role of Additional Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Gandhinagar. Stuti Charan, IAS, the former Collector of Chhotaudepur district, has been appointed as the chief executive officer of the Water and Sanitation Management Organisation in Gandhinagar.
Furthermore, P.N. Makwana, IAS, the former DDO of Surendranagar, has been transferred and designated as the Joint Secretary to the Government in the Women & Child Development Department. R.M Damor, IAS, the former DDO of Dangsahwa, now serves as the Joint Secretary to the Government in the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Co-Operation Department.
