New Delhi: A recent announcement from the Delhi government indicates that Binay Bhushan, an IAS officer belonging to the AGMUT cadre since 2009, has been reassigned to a new role. Specifically, he has been transferred to serve as Secretary in the Finance Commission, responsible for overseeing the fiscal matters of several Union Territories. These territories include the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep.

Binay Bhushan, who has served in various capacities within the Government is now poised to bring his expertise to a broader administrative landscape. 

His appointment to the Finance Commission signifies a significant shift in his responsibilities, moving from the regional focus of Delhi to the broader scope of managing finances across multiple Union Territories.
