Government of Himachal Pradesh Elevates 2011 Batch IAS Officers to Selection Grade

New Delhi: In a significant development, the Department of Personnel under the Government of Himachal Pradesh has recently issued an order promoting five accomplished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 2011 batch to the coveted Selection Grade. This elevation recognizes their commendable service and contributions in various capacities across the country.

The following officers have been granted the promotion:

1.  Rugved Milind Thakur, IAS (HP: 2011): Currently serving as the Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Thakur’s promotion is noted to be on a proforma basis.

2.  Lalit Jain, IAS (HP: 2011): Holding the position of Director, Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration in Haryana, Chandigarh,  Jain’s promotion to the Selection Grade is also on a proforma basis.

3.  Vivek Bhatia, IAS (HP:2011): Serving as the Principal Private Secretary-cum-Special Secretary to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in Shimla.

4.  Dorje Chhering Negi, IAS (HP: 2011): Currently posted as the Settlement Officer in Shimla Division at Shimla.  Negi’s promotion recognizes his valuable contributions in the field.

5.  Gopal Chand, IAS (HP: 2011):  Director of Urban Development in Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.

The promotion order comes as a testament to the government’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding merit within the bureaucratic ranks. The newly elevated officers are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their future assignments, contributing to the efficient and effective governance of the state and the nation at large.
