Former President Ram Nath Kovind to Grace 55th IIMC Convocation
New Delhi: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is set to host its 55th Convocation ceremony at Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandap on January 10, 2024. The distinguished former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, will be the chief guest and deliver the Convocation address.
The event, scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM, will witness the presence of key figures, including the Chairman of IIMC, Shri R Jagannathan, and the Director General, Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar. Faculty members from IIMC New Delhi and its five regional centers at Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Kottayam, and Jammu will also participate.
During the ceremony, Post Graduate Diploma certificates will be conferred upon IIMC students from the batches of 2021-22 and 2022-23. Additionally, 65 outstanding students from these batches will be honored with various medals.
Established in 1965, IIMC has emerged as one of India’s leading institutions offering specialized education in the field of media and communication. The institute provides PG Diploma courses in a diverse range of disciplines, including Hindi Journalism, English Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Radio and Television, Digital Media, Odia Journalism, Marathi Journalism, Malayalam Journalism, and Urdu Journalism.
This convocation marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of IIMC, reinforcing its commitment to shaping the future leaders in media and communication.
