Delhi Police Witnesses Major Leadership Shake-up in Recent Reshuffle
New Delhi: In a significant move, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered a major reshuffling within the Delhi Police, impacting key leadership positions. The Law & Order zones will now see the appointment of new Special CPs, who will also take charge of crucial roles in Crime, Traffic, special cell, and security divisions.
The reshuffle involves 27 officers, comprising 25 Indian Police Service officers and 2 DANIPS officers. Notable changes include Dependra Pathak, IPS (1990), moving from Special CP/Law & Order (Zone-1) Division to Special CP Security, and Rajender Pal Upadhyay, IPS (1991), taking on the role of Special CP of the Special Cell.
Virender Singh, IPS (1991), has been transferred from Special CP/Traffic (Zone -I) to Special CP/Licensing (Additional Charge of Legal Division). This restructuring marks a significant shift in the leadership landscape of the Delhi Police.
