UP postpones board exams 2021 indefinitely

After UP CM Yogi Adityanath tested positive for Covid-19 the government has taken the decision to postpone the UP board exams 2021 indefinitely after the CBSE board exams 2021 were postponed for class 1 and cancelled for class 10 on Wednesday. 

UP schools for classes 1 to 12 and colleges will also be closed till May 15. The new dates for the UP board exam 2021 will be considered in May.


On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the closure of schools from classes 1 to 12 until April 30.


Earlier, the UP school education minister had announced that students of classes 1 to 8 studying in UP government schools would be promoted to the next class without appearing for any exams. 

 

As per the latest data by Union Health Ministry India has reported over 200,739 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Deaths stood at 1,038, taking the total to 173,123, the data showed on Thursday. Uttar Pradesh reported 18,021 new Covid-19 cases and 85 deaths. (PTI).
