TVF now an 82 million dollar company

The Viral Fever (TVF) has raised funds of close to $5 Mn from New York- based Tiger Global Management as shown in the Ministry of Corporate regulatory fillings.

New York-based investment firm Tiger Global had previously induced $6 million in the startup last June, and $10 million in February 2016.

“Fillings indicate that Tiger Global is investing $5 Mn in TVF’s series D round. Our estimate is TVF’s valuation is $82 Mn post this round, not accounting for new Series D participants”, told by Vivek data intelligence platform founder Vivek Duari, as per media reports.

TVF in its initials started as a youtube channel for millennials and post millennials , later built its own website and application as well. The Kota factory, Pitchers, Permanent Roomates and Tripling are some of the shows made by the platform which created a buzz in the market.

Founded in 2010 by Arunabh Kumar and later joined by Amit Golani and Biswapati Sarkar. TVF is n online digital entertainment platform. Founder Arunabh Kumar was accused of sexual harassment in 2017. 

The Viral Fever (TVF), has raised $4.97 Mn (INR 34.67 Cr) in a Series D round. The fresh funding has come in from existing investor Tiger Global.

According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs filings, the company issued 2,833 Series D preference shares at a nominal value of INR 4,132 with a premium of INR 1,18,280.11 to Tiger Global’s Internet Fund III Pte Limited.

The Viral Fever (TVF) is an online YouTube channel started by TVF Media Labs in 2010, and currently owned and operated by Contagious Online Media. The Viral Fever was one of the early arrivals on the Indian digital entertainment segment with videos covering a range of topics on Indian politics, movies, lifestyle, and emerging social concepts.
