Startup Stories of the week

Here is a quick round up of all the important startup stories of this week: 


1-   Nazara Technologie’s big stake in SportsKeeda: Mumbai-based gaming platform Nazara Technologies has invested Rs 44 crore for a stake of 67 per cent in sports media platform Sportskeeda. Founded in 2009 by Srinivas Cuddapah and Porush Jain, Sportskeeda today curates over 10,000 articles per month and services over 25 million monthly active users globally. 

2-   Zolo Stays in Talks to raise $ 100 million: Co-living Startup ZoloStays CEO Dr Nikhil Sikri has said that the co living startup is in advanced stages of talks to raise a series C funding of $ 100 million with an existing and a new investor. He said that funding will be used to increase the inventory size, with new properties and upscale the current ones.


3-   Hiring Spree for OYO India: Hospitality firm OYO has said that it will add over 3000 employees across multiple functions in the coming six months to fuel the next phase of its growth in India. Oyo has committed towards an investment of Rs 1400 cr by the end of 2019 in India and South Asia.


4-   Indwealth raised $15 Million- Gurugram based Fintech startup has raised a $15 million in a funding round led by Tiger global. This hefty investment comes within 10 months of its previous funding round of $30 million from Steadview capital. The company has said it will use the fresh round of funds to increase the scale of the platform.


5-   Paytm Mall set to enter Middle East Market-Paytm mall along with E-Bay is all set to enter the Middle-East marketplace. The company has already stared testing its market strategies in the region with the backing of e-commerce giant E-Bay. They plan to set up a very large business in the area and are counting on revenue from exports.
