Here is a quick roundup of all the startup stories which made the headlines in the last week: 

 

1-   Whatsapp may soon launch a payment system: The Facebook owned brand has been struggling for more than a year to launch its payment system in India. However, as per recent reports from the Reserve Bank oF India (RBI) the company has finally set up its data storage facilities in India and is preparing its full fledged launch in association with ICICI bank. 

2-   OYO Rooms in Trouble: The Delhi high courthas issued an interim injunction order which restrains hoteliers associations from boycotting OYO. The injunction order comes in the wake of allegations from OYO partner hotels regarding floor prices, non-transparent charges etc. 

3-   UAE Expansion for Cure.Fit and Urban Clap-  Curefit- Bangluru based health and wellness startup has opened up its first overseas branch in Dubai. Delhi based Urban Clap has now started its services in Abu Dhabi and offers services like maid, deep cleaning, pest control, handymen and AC repairs. 

4-     E- Passports to be a reality soon- Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar has recently announced the launch of microchip enabled passports for Indian Citizens. The discussion has been initiated with the Passport Seva Kendra and the gen-X passports will soon be a reality.

5-   400 million for Binny Bansal-The Flipkart IPO which is going to go Public in the US over the next two years is going to yield another 400 million in profit for its founder Binny Bansal. Bansal’s contract with Walmart requires him to sell more than half of his equity shares by August 2020.
