1-  Zomato eats Uber Eats-Uber has announced that its food delivery business, Uber Eats, in India has been sold off to Zomato. As part of the deal, Uber would own 9.99% of Zomato and its Eats users would become part of the Indian company. The deal valued Uber Eats’ India business between $160 million and $200 million*.

 

2-  Sundar Pichai is confused about AI- Google CEO Sundar Pichai is either confused or wants to confuse you on his thoughts on AI. In a cryptic published in Financial Times Pichai makes a headline-grabbing call for artificial intelligence to be regulated but his pitch injects a hint at lawmakers to dilute any laws that put a limit on AI usage. 

 

3-  YouTube defeats Instagram in video sharing feature- Instagram has decided to remove its IGTV (long format video feature)  from its app stating the lack of users of the feature. In one of its new updates, Instagram will remove the feature but it will not delete any user data uploaded on it before. IGTV feature was introduced in 2018 by Instagram to compete with YouTube. 

 

4-  Thank You, Jeff Bezos,- Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos came to India with a lot of gifts for Indians. He promised to invest 1 billion in India create 400 million jobs. Soon after he left Amazon has announced its Great Indian Sale 19th-22ndJan under which heavy discounts of 40-70 % on brands, 60 5 on books and softwares and up to 70 % on daily essentials. 

 

5-  Japan will have 6 G by 2030- Japan is reportedly planning a comprehensive strategy for 6g tech in 2030. It is estimated that 6 G will be 10 times faster than 5G. A separate committee will be set up for the same and it will be promoted by the government.
