5 golden rules to follow if your company has given you a permanent Work From Home

While Indian’s grapple with the next wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, remote working is going to be ‘The next normal’. If you have struggled to bring in the discipline it requires to bring in office-level productivity, ObserveNow has some tips and tricks that can help you adjust to this new way of life.

1-   Establish a morning routine-Create a realistic morning ritual in line with your old work routine and follow that like the bible. Change into your work clothes, make your to do list, and do not take unnecessary distraction breaks just because you can.

2-   Create a separate workspace- Gone are the days when your bed or your couch was your new workspace. This remote working scenario requires more dedication if you wish for office-level productivity. Create a separate work area free of distraction, recreate your office vibes at home and use that space for professional work only.

3-   Set alarms for regular movement- If you own a smartwatch it probably dos tell you to get up and move around every hour or so if you don’t add this in your hourly reminders. When you live where you work; work-life balance can go for a toss so can your health. So, make fitness a big part of your life.

4-   Add background music to your life- Since you are not really at your office anymore you can definitely avail some concessions of Working from home. Staying focused at home can be hard. Without the energy of an office, it’s easy to get antsy. Fix this by listening to ambient low-volume music. Sound healing music on different frequencies can help you focus better, even stimulate your mind for better productivity and act as healers.432 Hz is known as the natural tuning of the universe and is a cosmic number related to sacred geometry that provides relaxation.

5-Put screen restrictions on your phone- Limit your unnecessary screen time by putting a time limit on certain apps like FB, Instagram and Twitter, just because there is no boss looking over you or no co-worker frowning on you doesn’t mean you can while away your precious time on checking notifications or unnecessary Instagram posts
